Mid-Century Classical Brass Magazine Rack. 17” long 19” high (to the top of the turrets), and 11.75” wide. Solid brass tube construction using square and round tubes. Everything except the Bassick castor wheels is brass. The turrets and knobs accent the fine design of this 1950’s American home design, representing serenity and order. This is a thick, solid brass magazine rack, with open cage design. This rack has three sections. The design is industrial with square tubular sides topped by floret style turrets. Round tubular bars on the sides and inside, all secured by brass knobs that you can tighten or loosen yourself. The condition is very good vintage. Hasn’t been polished. Would shine if professionally polished, but leave that option to you since some people prefer an aged patina look. Weighs 7.8 lbs. Looks like a Hammacher Schlemmer style 1954-1964 hefty brass magazine rack, which now resell for aver $2000 when restored shiny and new-looking. This is very collectible Americana.
