Rare find! This beautiful tapestry purse is a piece of fashion history! Julius Resnick is a historic purse designer; he immigrated to the US from Russia in 1904 and became a US citizen in 1914. This lovely vintage purse is a very well maintained piece of his memorabilia. The colorful French tapestry depicts a Victorian couple dancing, surrounded by a quaint cottage, a tree, and flowers. The purse has a tapestry fabric handle and silk lining, it is also edged with gold cording. There is an interior zipper pocket with a pull ring on a chain. The pocket has a clear vinyl front so you can see what you have placed in the pocket! The interior of the purse has Mr. Resnick's initials, 'JR' and USA. This purse was made in the USA in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Brand: Julius Resnick Measurements: 11" high - clasp to bottom (16" high top of handle to bottom) x 11.5" wide Colors: Tan/cream background with various shades pink, blue, green, tan, and black.
