Teapot 4 inches tall, handle 2 1/2 inches tall x teapot 5 inches wide holds 2 cups. Four sets of 3 cut out birds on the teapot, one cut out set of 3 birds on the teapot lid. Handle is bamboo and a protective plastic wrap around the tea spout Cups 3 1/4 inches round x 2 1/4 inch tall holds 1/2 cup. Four sets of 3 cut out birds on each cup. There are delicate blue lined clouds in between the bird cut outs. Gold circles the opening of the teapot and a gold circle is drawn on top of the lid handle and cups These are a delicate, beautiful tea set from Japan brought to the US by a US military man who fell in love with the Japanese culture during WWII. The solider purchased them in 1944 or 1945. He cherished this set for the remainder of his life. Only a blue Swan stamped on the bottom of the teapot lid and the two cups identifies them. They are a fine, delicate but sturdy porcelain. There are delicate birds cut out just enough to reflect light, fluid and color through the porcelain
