Here’s a mid-2009 15-inch MacBook Pro (MacBookPro5,4) that’s running openSUSE Leap Linux instead of macOS. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU @ 2.53GHz, 4GB of RAM (shows around 3.6 GiB in Linux), and what appears to be a 512GB solid-state drive. The Wi-Fi isn’t working—possibly due to missing drivers or an account lock, but I can’t confirm. There are visible scuffs and scratches on the top and underside, and one of the rubber feet looks a bit worn. All ports (Ethernet, FireWire 800, two USB 2.0, SD card slot, audio jacks) seem intact, as does the built-in SuperDrive on the right edge. The battery status and overall lifespan aren’t tested, so assume normal wear and tear for a 2009-era MacBook. It’s booting and running openSUSE, but keep in mind you might need to troubleshoot or replace the Wi-Fi card.
