This is (what I believe) an embroidered silk civil rank badge panel (known in Chinese as Buzi) framed. The panels feature a black background within a scrolling floral border. In the center, it showcases a beautiful stitched bird, a symbol of rank if a civil official in the court of Qing Dynasty. The bird with long tails and facing down. Surrounded by scattered flowers. The work is embroidered on black satin/silk. It is displayed in frame.
