Early American Pressed Glass compote or pedestal bowl in the pattern Daisy & Button with Crossbars, also called Mikado pattern #99. This impressive compote was made circa 1885 by the Richards Hartley Flint Glass Company in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Although the Richards Hartley Flint Glass Company was only in business from 1870-1890, this glassmaker made some significant contributions to the Early American Pressed Glass production in the late 19th century with their brilliant, intricately designed patterns. Due to the short length of time that this company was operating, any Richards Hartley Flint pieces are rather rare and are only becoming more scarce. This lovely compote measures approximately 7.75 inches (H) x 8.5 inches (D) and is in very fine, previously owned, antique condition. There are no cracks, chips or issues with this compote. This makes a beautiful centerpiece or a fruit bowl, just about anything you can think of as this is an amazing display piece of American history. Th
