The disc was previously covered in noticeable but not terribly deep scratches. It would occasionally hiccup/skip and laser tracking issues were noticeable. I manually cleaned and polished the disc surface. The disc surface is now in quite good condition with some minor scratches which do not have a noticeable effect on the discs readability. There are no longer any apparent tracking issues/skipping. I used a flashlight to highlight the worst remaining scratches. The case is in ok condition. The most impactful damage is 5 or so scratches on the front cover that are deep enough to feel with your fingertip, but are still not large enough to show up well on camera. 2/5 scratches can be seen in the gallery cover photo. The cover art itself is in excellent condition. While testing the disc, the areas visited included Phenac City, Pyrite town, Pyrite Colosseum, and Agate. I battled Leba in Pyrite with no perceptible issues. A cutscene in Pyrite town was also triggered without issue.
