Woodward & Lothrop was a department store chain headquartered in Washington, D.C. that began as the capital's first department store in 1887. Woodies, as it was often nicknamed. This is a real piece of Childrens Fashion History! Joseph Love Inc ( it must be love) has been featured in collections at the MET, as a founder of American Girls Fashion. Stanley Love went to work for the company founded by his father, Joseph Love, in the 50's.Joseph Love INC. was one of the nation's first to specialize in making children's clothing. This dress is NWT, i estimate it was made around the 60s/70s do to the all red ILGWU union label and care instructions. Unofrtunately the dress does have one small hole in the back of dress,( see photos) looks age related , otherwise in perfect new condition This piece is extremely rare so its priced accordingly, NO LOWBALL OFFERS!!! NOT NANNETTE< USED
