Rare house plant! Great healthy starter with SUPER high variegation ready to be part of your collection! Was sold to me as “Variegated Pink Dragon Nairobi Nights.” Which I’ve learned now does not make sense, because PD/Aurora is a parent plant of Nairobi Nights. This plant has purplish abaxial, indicating hybridization. Alocasia Pink Dragon/Aurora supposedly have “smooth matte abaxis.” Alocasia Nairobi Nights does have red/purpleish leaf undersides (abaxial leaf) Perhaps it is a hybrid of PD/Aurora and Nairobi Nights? I have no clue, either way a very pretty plant. The Aurea variegation fades quickly and becomes Albo before long.
