René-François Gregogna was born on March 2, 1926 in Hanoi, Vietnam. After his involvement in the resistance during the war, he settled in Alès where he presented his first paintings. Then he settled in Sète and created montages, collages and reliefs using materials from the landfill. In 1978, he created monumental frescoes on the sea wall of Sète then on that of Frontignan, which were destroyed a few years later. René-François Gregogna lived in Pezenas.
