Up for sale in this lot is a 1793 verge fuse pocket watch. Inscribed inside by clock maker Peter Woods London 1793. Has chain on barrel. I do not have a key so I have no idea if it runs. But in really good condition over all I think considering age. Will come with wood case as depicted in photos. Looks like outer case latch was repaired at a later date. It does close and latch I have added 2 photos,, one close up of the hall marks inside the outer case. It has the leopard head indicating that the case is made in London and the passant lion indicating that this is .925 silver as well as the letter (A) date indicating that the case is period to the watch. The letter (A) is stamped means a 1796 production period and I looks like these style of hallmarks were used from 1756 to 1821. Then it was changed. So the internal watch was made by Peter woods in 1793 and the outer case made by black smith with (KL) stamp during 1796. Very cool history. Will update if any further info is gathered
