First edition thus, hardcover set of With Fire & Sword / The Deluge Volume One / The Deluge Volume Two / Fire in the Steppe by Henryk Sienkiewicz (Hippocrene Books / Copernicus Society of America, 1991-1992). A rare set with translation by W. S. Kuniczak and introduction by James A. Michener. The complete iconic series known simply as The Trilogy. Originally published in Poland in the late 1800s, these epic novels weave fact and fiction into a dramatic retelling of the nation’s history. A clean set with jackets protected in new archival sleeves but with mild rubbing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Text blocks faintly sagging (the worst of which is show in photo, Deluge vol. 2) Fire in Steppe spine slanted. Bindings remain firm.
