All laser projectors are rated 20000 to 30000 hours this one has 17800 so still a lot of life left. This projector is maintenance free it’s feature 4000 ANSI LUMEN it’s LIGHT SOURCE IS LASER it’s a short throw Ricoh model 4761 excellent item The projection shown is in a kitchen with full light this projector does look way better with low light or complete darkness . It was tested with light on to show how the laser still functions like new no loss of picture even with the light on . Only issues is that the volume doesn’t work sound comes out but it just a buzzing sound therefore the volume cannot be used . You can however mute the projector and use your firestick or Roku to connect to a Bluetooth sound source If interested let me know No controller for this unit only things included is the projector and the power cord
