Spode Blue Room "Indian Sporting" plate, specifically the "Death of the Bear" pattern, dating back to around 1815 Manufacturer: Spode, a renowned English pottery manufacturer. Pattern: "Death of the Bear," part of the "Indian Sporting" series inspired by Captain Thomas Williamson's "Oriental Field Sports". Material: Transfer-printed earthenware with blue and white design. Era: Circa 1820, during the Georgian period. Design: Depicts a hunting scene with an elephant, hunters on horseback, and dogs attacking a bear.
