The New Haven Clock Company was renowned for producing Mission-style mantle clocks. One model is the "La Lanza" 8-day chime clock. Mission Oak case, standing 22 inches tall & 14 inches wide. It houses an 8-day brass movement that strikes on the hour and half-hour, resonating on a heavy coiled gong. The original paper label on the reverse authenticates its origin and model. The La Lanza was most likely released between 1904 & 1915. Includes key. **Please note…The item featured is not new…it is antique and therefore will have some of the imperfections that are expected with age and history. The clock winds, pendulum swings, chime gongs, and the minute hand ticks. The hour hand is loose and doesn't move. Part of one hinge is missing. There are typical scratches on the wood & oxidation of the brass. This clock would benefit from being serviced by a certified horologist.
