A Customer Maple stave snare drum 13”x3.5” x 1/2” thick with contrasting Padauk stripes. The shell started a a Daville Drumworks blank shell. Bearing edges were cut at 45 degrees inner and outer. Then outer was hand sanded to achieve a slight round over. This gives the drum crisp attack but still good body. Shell outside was stained green then several coats of oil polyurethane. The inside of the shell was rubbed with several coats of tung oil. Drum was built with the following new parts. 13” 8 lug 2.3 mm chrome top and bottom hoops 8 solid brass tube lugs chrome finish Pearl SR-18 throw off and butt plate Chrome tension rods with nylon washers Evans G1 coated batter head Evans 300 snare side head Drum is new but the batter head has a few stick marks from test playing.
