This Takahashi authentic original beautiful life-like golden pheasant was carved by Y. Takahashi and is "SIGNED K.T. 1979" painted by Kiyoka Takahashi. The brooch is 4" long by 1" wide. Handmade in the 1970s and 1980s in Garden Grove California. These collectible hardwood bird brooches are few and far between finding a signed and dated original by K.T. There are a lot of counterfeits, fakes, and replicas of these birds for sale. The artist Kiyoka Takahashi passed away in 1994. A lovely rare collectible piece to add to any collection. Mint condition with no chips, dings, scratches, cracks, or repairs.
