As shown. See all photos. A truly beautiful B&W photography book. Too many good ones to show them all in this listing by a long shot. First edition. Copyright 1955. Dust jacket cover included. If this doesn’t sell I’ll keep, it’s a special one. “The Family of Man (MoMA Exh. #569, January 24-May 8, 1955) was composed of 503 photographs grouped thematically around subjects pertinent to all cultures, such as love, children, and death. After its initial showing at The Museum of Modern Art in 1955, the exhibition toured the world for eight years, making stops in thirty-seven countries on six continents. The photographs included in the exhibition focused on the commonalties that bind people and cultures around the world and the exhibition served as an expression of humanism in the decade following World War II.” https://www.moma.org/research/archives/archives-highlights-06-1955#:~:text=Steichen%20at%20The-,Family%20of%20Man%2C%201955,love%2C%20children%2C%20and%20death.
