*size 8.5 *weighing 2.57g featuring natural earth mined opals and an unusual victorian era stone used to imitate emerald: the garnet doublet. *This consists of a thin slice of garnet which was adhered to a green glass pavilion. Because of how light passes through the stone, the red garnet is never visible under normal conditions! If you take a loop and shine a light through the side of these stones, you may be able to detect the pink girdle. If you get the stone so only the facets facing you are visible, you’ll be able to see the that the entire top of the stones are red. The stones are secure and all prongs are intact. one of the garnet topped doublets has a small chip towards the point. This is eye visible, but not very noticeable
