This is absolutely gorgeous. My pictures don't give nearly enough detail to how lovely this vintage chessboard is. Hand carved wooden(cherry wood?) Case with drawers under the brass handles hold complete sets of hand carved stone figures to look like red and green jade. Red felt lining in the drawers with white stretchy bands hold the pieces in place. The board itself is hand carved stone tiles with intricate detailed pictures rotating with black. It has carved dragons and pheonix theme on the wood. Detailed brass handles with floral design engraved, brass handle plates, and brass hinges. The pieces are beautifully detailed and have zero flaws. The case and board also in excellent condition. When opened, it measures 18inx17.5in. Weighs 8.5lbs. Solid set. Offers considered!!
