Elegant American Brilliant Period cut glass fruit bowl in good condition. The gorgeous intaglio featured on the bottom of the piece is composed of grapes, leaves and curled grape vines. Tiny sawtooth “teeth” line the rim, with a border of intricately cut hobstars that will take your breath away. This fine lead crystal bowl even produces the beautiful clear tone when your finger lightly circles the rim of the bowl. It truly is a stunning piece of American history to add to your collection. The sawtooth rim of the bowl has some expected chips and flea bites. There are two shallow conchoidal chips along the rim, and some minor grazes and knocks as you'd expect. There is also some scratching from use, particularly on the bottom. See the photos for flaws. As mentioned, I have purchased a standard online appraisal to confirm the age, maker and pattern; as well as an estimate as to how the flaws affect the value.
