ANTIQUE OSCAR SCHALLER BAVARIAN PORCELAIN COV'D BUTTER DOME FLEUR DE LIS *************************************************** Oscar Schaller & Co., Schwarzenbach, Bavaria Covered Butter Dome Blue on White Fleur de Lis Pattern circa: 1909 to 1919 maybe a little earlier * The company was founded in 1882 by Oscar Schaller and in 1892 the mark was changed into the symbol you see here representing a stylized "S & C' for "Schaller & Co." In 1917, the company was taken over by Gebruder Winterling O.H.G. and renamed "Oscar Schaller & Co. Nachfolger". This Butter Dome is marked as you see it. ** As a unit, it measures about 2-1/2" high. ** It is about 4-5/8" across the plate. ** The inside bowl is about 3" across and about 1-1/8" deep. Condition is very good vintage preloved -- some light normal wear to the shiny gold on the finial to the cover but not a lot -- light rubbing around edge from use -- very nice Please look at photos carefully and ask any questions before purchasing
