Gift of Affection, A Souvenir for 1852 book. Published prior to the civil war, it is a book about love and has a beautiful personal inscription inside. The inscription says, "…Accept this gift, an offering from the heart… its worth is small, its pages new, and what is here may not be new, but still the gift is mine." This is a very unique on of a kind item. The binding is good. The book has beautiful illustrations. There is normal wear along the spine and outside edges of the cover. The pages have tanned and are a nice cream/light brown color. There is spotting on the pages. But this is very consistent with a book that is 170+ years old.
