This charming sterling silver coin holder, crafted in Birmingham, 1901, by the renowned silversmiths Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank Shepherd), offers a glimpse into a bygone age. The intricate detailing and delicate bezel setting speak to the craftsmanship of the era. On the reverse, a romantic touch - the hand-engraved monogram "CEG," perhaps a lover's initials, a cherished family emblem, or the mark of the original owner, adds a layer of mystery and intrigue.
