This is a rare monogrammed Saint Louis French cut glass. The monogram of "L" "W" and "T" are cut not engraved! This piece is c. 1890-1910. Cranberry glass showcases the gold monogram. The draped pattern rivals its Morello style American Brilliant Cut competitor. The stem is a zipper pattern and base a sunburst. These glasses were made with catouches so they could add monograms. Great "bell" echo and top heavy. 7.5" x 3" Likely imported to America or bought in France, this lone glass was found at an antique store near prestigious old-money city, Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Gold gilt on base is worn in 2 places, see last photo.
