Indiana Black Walnut Hand Carved I start with a painting, cut from a piece of wood, and move on to finish the sculpture Rhino measures 10"W x 5"H x 3 1/2" Hippo is 10" wide x 4" high x 3" deep I cut first with a bandsaw, shape and hand chisel, then started hand sanding with 80 grit sandpaper and finished with 5000 grit super fine for a beautiful gloss finish. Preservation and polishing are done with Danish oil and beeswax. All natural finish, nothing else on the wood.
